[Help Thread] Skewb Discussion

A friend of mine uses chopsticks. Apparently what he did is: Cut ~3cm long piece out and round it off from one side, such that it fits into the rounding of the center. Glue it in... Done!

I tried this but the sanding was too much work for me haha. I would try to order some Legos, they're really the easiest way.

Thank you people. I shall try getting both asap :)

hey can anybody explain to me how hideki niina does his first step?(first layer+U center) i feel it wud be a waste of time finishing the first layer and then doing a sledge or hedge or any other perm to bring the center from F, L, B,or R to U. so does anybody have an alg sheet for this? or can anyone develop one? I seriously feel i shud shift to his method because when i saw his wr average video, he does the movements with a little slower tps and that 1-1.5 sec recognition time after first step, and STILL gets sub 7 O.o :O so that motivated me to learn the 27 algs, but im not sure how to attack his first step. it wud be nice if someone can help me :D thanks in advance :D :D :D

Ohai skewb discussion. Long time no see/care :p

I am thinking that I will post my last 5 centre algs and my CLS algs here soon. I generated/figured them out back in January/February when skewb was cool and not all about U Perm tps :)

Does anyone use L5C method at the moment? Or any CLS? I hope the algs show that it is actually good :)

It turns out I lost motivation for skewb pretty much straight away after a week of practise, and then never came back to it, so I think it's time to share them with anyone who might be interested. Note that they are generally suitable for wrist turning, with an emphasis on turning the DFR and DBR corners (I think that's f and r in rubikskewb), much like Ranzha-style. Some are adapted from Meep's FCN-style algs, while others were found by hand or ksolve.

Just something I felt like sharing.

I would love to see these algs! I really need to finally learn L5C and I don't really like meep's algs :)

I would love the L5C algs as well!

If your algs are half decent I'll learn it. That's what held me back from meep.
