-Be color neutral and do efficient layers
-Practice sledge
-One-look OLL
-Predict where top center will be in inspection
-Learn to skip H-perms. You can also avoid Z-perms and H-perms if you have a peanut case. Watch Jay's tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq11g-xnH1Q
-Get recognition time down
-Rotationless U-perm helps
Hope I didn't miss anything. I was sub 7 in less than a month when I got my first skewb.
If I know the H and Z perms, is it better to skip them or just do them? I use Kirjava-Meep's algorithms for H and Z perms, but I recently switched to Sarah Intermediate. Also, how do you do a rotationless U perm?

Skip H-perms, don't skip Z perms. Also, please don't do rotationless U-perm. In my opinion (and I think many people agree), the U-perm with rotations is easier to get fast, and faster in the long run.
Yeah. What are rotationless U perms? Are they just a sledge and another sledge performed on the back from the front?
And you can even use the sledge from the back finger trick for the hedgeslammer H perm skip case.Imo the way I do rotationless Uperm is the fastest way (unless you are Rami and basically have no noticable rotation).

Speaking of which, how do you guys fingertrick sledge y2 hedge? The y2 sucks
I figured out rotationless U-perm fingertricks myself.
You can skip H-perm 99% of the time. Because in intermediate you reduce every case to a pi case, and it's easy to skip H-perm from there. You will have OLL skips every once in a while, and you might have an H-perm that way. Sledge y2 hedge y2 sledge, rotationless, is how I do it.
75% of the people I talked to at the comp I went to this weekend had no idea what Ranzha's method was.
Hm.
Welp.
