I've been cubing for 3 years now and have been using zz for 2 of those years. I do 1-2 ao100 a day and I average 23 seconds...
I was wondering if switching to cfop would make improving easier.
Thanks in advance :)

Would a new method be more fun? If so... Just do it.

Doesn't matter how fast you go... You'll learn about the cube. I can CFOP and ZZ. I CFOP 4x4 and up cubes... ZZ isn't great there.

In the end... do what is fun... the speed will take care of itself.

You might consider trying a totally different method like Roux, WaterRoux or LMCF.

It all comes down to fun. About a year ago I learned how to solve big cubes with a layer-by-layer method involving a few simple commutator variants. I pretty much figured out the method myself and it only uses a few new commutator type algs that I mostly already knew. It works for any size cube, but I mostly enjoy it for 6x6 through 8x8. Now a days since I don't prefer speedsolving those puzzles, only having fun solving them, I use that method. So, like others have said, do some research and find a method that you think you'll have more fun using, because that's really what it comes down to. If you don't have fun twisting that little cube of plastic in your hand then it's just not gonna be worth it. Just my two cents.

idk much about non bld methods but i can tell you the funnier will be the faster sounds pretty cheesy to me, I would say either one or the other is the better, not sure wich tho, i understand you come here to hear opinions but.. you know i dont think the one you enjoy more is your answer, and this is just my opinion, it might be
