Should I learn Roux?

Sounds about right👍
I mean,
I've never gone bunjee jumping, have never done meth(or dissimilar substances) and I've only driven an automatic vehicle for 3 hours.
Out of all these things I am able to say, they are not for me or that they seem so, not one of those can I say are inferior to their counterpart because I haven't tried them intensively.(Except for maybe automatic vehicles, because they ARE inferior in every way, but I still wouldn't actively talk them bad)

Similarly, after six solves, you might know that it's not for you(the way you talk I doubt you even know all steps Roux has, or that you've seriously tried one solve) but you very sure don't know if it's bad or not, you just go by what someone else has told you and what you wanna believe.

If you want to use an inferior method, go for it!
As a Rouxer, I totally agreed with you, no doubt all CFOP, ZZ, Petrus or even LBL is better than Roux, when I first learn started learning to cube, I skipped LBL because I know it stinks, and I jump straight onto the CFOP train.
One day I started learning Roux, oh man this method is really really really bad! Who on early will even want to use this method? As I practice with it more, it had become very clear that Roux is truly a really bad method!
It's so bad that only an explorer with clear mind, a true adventurer with unbendable will, someone who always lives on the edge, out of his/her comfortable zone should be using! A method that demanding shouldn't even allow to be spread! That's not a sane human being should do!
Can believe I am maining such an inferior method with my clear mind, my unbendable will!
That's too demanding!
Why I did not settle with the much much much more easy, simple, child-friendly CFOP/ZZ/Petrus/LBL etc?
I am insane!

If you want to use an inferior method, go for it!
that moment when you realize that the roux uwr single is faster than cfop uwr single...

The problem with learning new methods: We spent hundreds or even thousands of hour learning and perfecting a method.
If we learn a new method it will again take a big amount of time to get on the same level. Maybe a little less because you already know the basics, but you can't expect to get so the same level soon quickly with a new method

I'd say go for it. I started cubing at Christmas and began using the Roux method after the beginner's method. I really like Roux because it's both intuitive and algo-based, plus that it's possible to solve with very few algos, something like five or six is usually enough.

I like the advice below to go slow especially when blockbuilding. It quickly becomes clear that that's really easy and repeatable which in the end is going to save a lot of time.

Try to turn slow and introspect. It will help you increase your lookahead and solve process understanding.
