Shengshou Mini 7x7 Setup

Hello, I searched for this on the forums, but I didn't find it so I'll ask y'all here. I got a SS mini 7x7 not too long ago and it's great, but sometimes it can feel a little stiff. What do you lube your 7x7 with and did you mod yours? I know spring swaps work wonders on cubes so what springs work on a 7x7? I might to a spring swap if there is a good one, but my one fear is that the core threads will get stripped just like my SS 5x5. One last thing, how long did it take you to break in your mini 7x7? Thanks

I used some weight 2 and 3 from the cubicle, Maru'd when I felt it needed it, tensioned till I was pleased and restickered it. I've done only ~100 solves on it though.

I used some Cubicle weight 4 if my memory serves me correctly. For spring swap I just switched to Dayan 3x3 springs, just ordered a set from the cubicle. I've probably done around 200 solves on it. with the weight 4 lube, i just spread the pieces apart and squirted some in on each layer, then flipped the cube around and did the same thing, not too much though. at first it will feel slow and gummy but after some solves it will get a fast and smooth feel. Be careful when taking out the screws though, you could strip the head fairly easily since shengshou uses fairly soft screws, just make sure you find a screwdriver that fits well in the screw head.
