It depends on your preference, im right handed so doing it with my left hand would be alot slower than my right hand.

Negatory. Many people are right handed but solve OH with the left hand.

R U R' is just awkward to begin with. Any time you can do a R U' R seems much faster because it's basically just a fancy R2. When you can do R U' R', or R' U R, then the same corner cut applies.
