well ok,, i got my rubik's brand 4x4 for christmas,, and it turns REALLY well,, and i havnt lubed it,, in fact it turns nicer than all of my 3x3s and only locks up a little bit

my rubik's brand 4x4 stickers are in perfect condition,, all the way from december,, but for some reason everytime i get a 3x3,, rubik's brand OR diy the stickers peel off in like 2 weeks,, any ideas?

EDIT: my 4x4 looks brand new,, after 4 months of use

My 4x4 was the same, I can't give you a full description because I don't have it anymore, but my Rubik's 3x3s peeled within days... I don't know what the cause is. Maybe Rubik's is better at making smaller stickers.

yea,, like my 4x4 stickers are PERFECT i should take a picture of them for you :) but my diys stickers peeled completely off

I never had a Rubik's DIY, I used Rubik's 25th Anniversary cubes. They were REALLY good, with the exception of the stickers.

25th? nice!! i dont use rubik's diys too much shipping i think,, i use cube4you

I'm pretty sure Rubik's.com has PVC stickers for their DIY-kits, so I assume that since the 3x3x3 stickers sucked balls, they had to make a cube with some decent stickers so the public would still say "Hey, Rubik's brand cubes aren't that bad overall..." -- but who knows...??

Rubik's storeboughts are meant to be cheaply stickered alternatives to DIY-kits for the non-serious speedcuber, I think the reason they weren't really meant to last is that they weren't meant to be used for extended periods of time -- it's why they invented the Rubik's DIY with the PVC stickers.

My Rubik's 4x4x4 stickers sucked, they lasted about a month, maybe two before the plastic film on the stickers started to lift and left me with that familiar 'furry cube' feel (does anyone know the feel I'm talking about)

It's now got smooth cubesmith tiles and I love them on a 4x4x4, they honestly feel like they will last forever.

I bought a new Rubiks DIY cube, well the sticker are not so good. But the cube is nice when lubed. No pops, No locks.

Yes, that happened with my current DIY C4U stickers... Furry...
I ordered CS tiles, and they SHOULD be coming in soon... *starts praying*
