So I've been having a bit of trouble with 2-look CMLL recognition of the second step. After orientation I've just been looking around the cube to find the pair, adjust U and do the adjacent swap alg. If there was no pair, do the diagonal swap alg.

But looking for this pair took a long time, so after playing around with the cases, here's a quicker but more complex way:

1. In the adjacent swap case, one face will be a pair, the face opposite the solved pair will have opposite colors, and the other two faces will have non-opposite colors.
So once you see a face with non-opposites, you know it's the adjacent swap, and the solved face will be next to it.

2. In the diag swap case, all the faces are opposite pairs. Once you see more than one face that has opposites, do the diag swap alg.

Hope this helps someone. If there's a better way I'd love to hear it too.
