I have tried to learn FMC, however my biggest problem is how to include rotations, and what to do with rotations when using the inverse scramble method, e.g. do you use the same rotation or do you inverse it (x - x' etc.), or can you not do rotations if using the inverse scramble method
So how is done?

TIA

I have the strong feeling that an x on the inverse is an x' in "normal" direction. My proof would be:
If you do on the inverse: F' S' B which is the same as z', it would be switched B' S F which is the same as z.

This would mean that you can use rotations just the same as turns.

But an advice: I was struggling with rotations in the beginning, too. So I just learned that the green face is F, the red face R and so on - it doesn't take long to get familiar with this and you don't need rotations anymore.
OK, if you use OLL-algs or something like that it can be easier with rotations. But if you advance in FMC you will need them not very often.

Do you mean switching, as in NISS?

Include whatever rotation(s) you need to get the cube back into scramble orientation before switching.

Example: your current skeleton is R B Rw R' U Fw F' D. Before switching, tack on z' x' (or equivalently, x' y), so your skeleton now becomes R B Rw R' U Fw F' D z' x'. You can now switch to inverse (or switch from inverse back to normal).

But also just don't use rotations.

Yeah just don’t use rotations.

It wastes a lot of extra thinking that’s completely unnecessary and can make it harder to find cancellations

If you’re having trouble with this, I’d recommend buying a spare cube and a set of cube logos that just have letters on them so you can put them on each center of a face. That way you can still rotate and find solutions a rotation a way and have references for what face you’re turning.
