Hi,
I am conducting a study to understand the role of creativity in speed cubing as part of a project. I request you to fill out this form to help me with the study. :)
It should take something between 5 and 10 minutes.

If you fill out your e-mail, I will share the results of the study with you in mail. I will also share the results here once I have a sufficient number of responses.

Thank You
Akash

May i ask what kind of results you are expecting? What are you gonna correlate? Will you use data from the WCA profiles to measure speedcubing profiency? If so, which values exactly are you using and why? Why are you only measuring the subjective self assessment of creativity?

I've filled though I had a lot of doubts. Because your tool measures opinions about creativity not creativity itself. I'm aware that it's hard to make a scientific research about creativity because it's hard to make a good definition of it etc.

Same point that came to mind when I filled it out: lacking any objective metrics this is just a subjective evaluation. I do believe speed-solvers are likely above average at self evaluation but then again, Dunning–Kruger

Hi. Yes I will use data from WCA profiles to measure proficiency. I am not being too biased about which values to use and I plan to play around with different values a bit.
About subjective self-assessment of creativity, that is a well established scale in Psychology with a good level of validity and reliability (technical terms for something measuring a psychological construct accurately and consistently) and has been used for research often. That is why I am using it.

Thankyou everyone for the responses. I will share soon what I get.

I too study psychology so i am aware of the concept :)

I haven't read too much about assessing creativity, but i have never heard of self-assessment being valid for creativity measurement. I know of a few scales that try to measure actual creativity, but most of them suffer from a very vague definition of the construct. Could you link me the paper(s) evaluating the scale you are using? I am very interested.
