I dropped cubing as a hobby in late '19, with a GAN 356X as my main. However, upon picking up the hobby again, my 356X broke, so I'm looking for a replacement, but I'm having a hard time comparing the 356X as it's from years ago now. What are some cubes that are comparable in quality in this day and age?

you could get a rs3m super, you could get a standard or maglev, but probably standard, they're really cheap, or a newer rs3m, but they are 20+ pounds,

gan 11 m pro is very good. around 36 dollars USD

There are many options. If you want a quieter cube, go with a Tornado V2 or V3. (Although the V2 was just discontinued, and you may have a hard time finding it). If money is no issue, I heard the Gan 12 is great. But overall there are tons of options, especially from MoYu, such as the YS3M or Weilong V9.
