These cubes were the best in 2010, I remember.

I was using a Rubik's brand 3x3 back then so owning these cubes was a dream for me in 2010.

Shape shifting? No. I have 2x2 up to I think 9x9? Whatever the biggest one they make is. And I have the V-Sphere.

I like them. They're chunky, solid and clacky and fun to solve. They're not speed-cubes by any stretch of the imagination, but they're nice puzzles and I'm happy to own them. I do wish the 5x5 was pillowed like all the rest. It irritates me that all the cubes are pillowed except the 5x5. Sticks out like a square sore thumb.

heh, that's pretty crazy. Yeah mine does do that it turns out. But it doesn't feel good or feel like it 'wants' to do that. And the whole time I was trying to get it lined up and square again it felt like it was going to pop apart.

10 years later, there will be a system similar to gan in which there are no screws, or even speed cubes with magnetic core! 45degree of reverse corner cutting, people use cubes with tiles or stickerless instead of stickers.

Maglev big cubes and megaminxes (tbh these hardwares are still very traditional imo even though they perform well) with core magnets and adjustable magnets, duo adjustment system on square-1, maglev clock, 1 piece reverse corner cutting on big cubes

My prediction for 5 years time:
Hypercubing will become much more commonplace, with hypercubes that actually turn instead of being held together by magnets. The Wca will add at least one shapeshifting event, and possibly mirror blocks and kilominx. Competitions will be held much more frequently, but records will be very few. Hypercubes will not be official wca puzzles yet but will be in consideration.
