Phew, 3BLD was invented before 1982, and 2x2! My events are safe!I think because the name is CUB[e]ing, we should also remove every other event that isn't a cube. Perhaps none invented after 1982 either, as to ensure traditionality within the sport.
Yeah, peak bonfire fuel.Wdym magic is peak?
You didn’t get the joke lol. He was making a pun with ‘clock’ and timingwhat's at the bottom of my pfp
Damn, she got me.Yeah, peak bonfire fuel.
Bro took it personalyYou just offended a clock main. You see, the clock event holds a special place in the World Cube Association (WCA) competitions for several reasons. First and foremost, it adds a unique dimension to the variety of puzzles, testing a different set of skills compared to other WCA events. Unlike the standard Rubik's Cube and its various derivatives, the clock puzzle requires a distinct blend of dexterity, strategy, and spatial awareness. Removing it would diminish the diversity of challenges that competitors face, potentially alienating a dedicated segment of cubers who have honed their expertise in this niche. Additionally, the clock puzzle stands out due to its mechanical and tactile nature, which is distinctly different from the more algorithmic approach taken by other puzzles. This diversity not only broadens the appeal of WCA competitions but also encourages a wider range of problem-solving techniques and cognitive skills.
The clock event also contributes to the rich history and tradition of cubing competitions. Since its inclusion, it has inspired countless cubers to push the boundaries of their abilities, achieving new personal bests and even setting world records. This sense of accomplishment and progression is a fundamental aspect of the cubing community, and the clock event plays a significant role in fostering this environment. Moreover, the presence of the clock event adds to the nostalgia and continuity that many long-time competitors and enthusiasts cherish. It serves as a reminder of the diverse and inclusive spirit of cubing, where different puzzles and skills are celebrated and appreciated.
Furthermore, the clock puzzle promotes inclusivity by appealing to a different set of interests and strengths among cubers. Some may find their passion in the unique mechanics of the clock, which can be a gateway to deeper involvement in the cubing community. This inclusivity is essential for maintaining a vibrant and dynamic competition scene, where participants feel valued and motivated regardless of their chosen specialty. Removing the clock event could potentially discourage these enthusiasts and create a less welcoming environment.
Finally, the clock event's presence in WCA competitions ensures that the sport remains challenging and engaging for all participants. Some people have been practicing clock for ages just for it to be removed. Each event in the WCA lineup brings its own set of challenges, and the clock is no exception. It pushes competitors to develop a comprehensive skill set, enhancing their overall cubing proficiency. By keeping the clock in the WCA, we honor the diversity and inclusivity that make cubing competitions exciting and engaging for all participants.
In simple words: Clock should not be removed from the WCA.

Yes, thats because clock should NOT be removed from the WCA. Its is a fun event for many people.Bro took it personaly
You do realize that this thread has only slightly more merit than any thread made on April Fools Day and thus should not be taken seriously whatsoeverYes, thats because clock should NOT be removed from the WCA. Its is a fun event for many people.
RIP Square-1.I think because the name is CUB[e]ing, we should also remove every other event that isn't a cube.

You get a gold star for taking the time to write out an essay without using AI, unlike a certain somebody. Now, I don’t like clock, but that doesn’t mean that it should be removed.
See, clock has a lot of competitors. Even more than square-1 as of recently. It is a very popular event now, and people are getting crazy fast times.
Just because I don’t like the event doesn’t mean it should be removed from the WCA. An event should only be removed if a vast majority of the community doesn’t like it, and there are major downsides to it. 7x7 would be an example to this. (Takes forever, vastly disliked, doesn’t add diversity to events)
Clock has fixed most of the problems that it has had before. The pins change that we saw at the start of 2024 really saved the event. It fixed all of the problems that came with organizing it at a competition.
And even if clock isn’t the most spectator friendly, that doesn’t mean we should remove it. BigBLD and FMC aren’t spectator friendly, for instance, but does that mean we should remove it? Of course not.
Clock is still pretty spectator friendly as far as WCA puzzles go. Clockcup showed that.
For feet, it was removed because it was heavily disliked, thought of as unhygienic, was difficult to organize, (needed a side room / different competing area for it) didn’t add diversity to events, and overall just took time away from major competitions.
So yes, Clock has its place in the WCA, and it should not be removed due to its popularity and ease to organize, as well as the fact that there are no major concerns with the events existence.
i have 46, giving them away to @Bingus Ringus McDingus when he's able to driveits more than just a reaction farm bro... its a measure of how many toyotas india politicians (also im not racist, if it ever seems like tht. im just from india) have (btw, u must look at them, they just keep on coming. i found like 7 toyotas owned by 1 person in my apartment)
