This story won't sound the same if you don't know a few things in advance. 1. I have asthma and am severely allergic to most perfumes/colognes. 2. I am "That kid with the rubiks cube" at school. 3. I have previously been sprayed with cologne, which triggered a major asthma attack on my part.

So here goes the story of today: I'm having a great day in my Sophomore year of High School. Just left Spanish class, and am now in my second favorite class of the day, Computer Systems. I sit down, like every day, at the same table, when a kid walks up to me and says something along the lines of "Hey do you want to smell good," and before I have the chance to process anything, sprays me in the face with cologne,(Keep in mind that this has happened before and the entire class knows about it.), and laughs at me. Now I, with severe asthma, have to go to the nurse to be treated. This is the first thing that went wrong in my day. Now the second I realized as soon as I got back and class had nearly ended. While I was gone, someone had taken the 15 minutes I was gone as the perfect opportunity to ruffle through my bag and take my Shengshou 5x5. Now, the person who took it clearly knew that it was something of mine(in my bag), and that I really liked it(Again, I'm that kid), and knowing this, I continued through the day, now slightly wheezing, and a little angry. At this point I was done with the day and didn't think it could get any worse. But wait, there's more. As soon as seventh period was over, I decided to go look and see if anyone had left it in a classroom... Imagine my dismay when I walk into the classroom, and there's my favorite cube... In pieces....... Now, for some reason the teacher hadn't noticed the sound of the 5x5 shattering, and only noticed when the pieces were on the floor.... So now I'm left with about 10% of my cube. In pieces, with stickers peeled. People need to respect other people and their property. Rant over.....

Wow, I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm still surprised that people actually do this because this never happens at my high school.

This is cruel.

Did anything happen to him? What happened after the first time someone sprayed you? This kind of thing shouldn't be tolerated.

Have you gone to a member of your schools administration? This is terrible and should be stopped at an upper level. Let your parents and your school principles know soon. This is a hazard to your health and the school environment.

Nope, just a warning.

I'm going to the SRO tomorrow to report both incidents.

People are cruel. Sadly stuff like this rarely goes punished. I have had a high school teacher tell me that my high school is too big for anything to get done about bullying (3000 students, 13 buildings+trailers). I argued that teacher at almost a scream level to tell him how wrong he was. People being jerks is a huge issue in high school and teachers/administrators need to do something about it. Especially when there is a health concern.

Ah, that must be annoying. The world is pretty much filled to the brim with annoying, rude, and mean people (hyperbole much :P). You should go and tell him in a monotone, "I really don't appreciate that". Make it clear, and walk away to do your business the next time.

Honestly I probably would've nailed that kid in the face right there, if that happened to me or another kid while I was there. But don't listen to me, I have a temper :P you should meet more people who are supportive of your hobbies. And always try to act confidently and keep your head up, I know it's cruel but kids try and pick on ANYONE who wont dont look like they would stand up for themselves. This sort of thing never happens at my school though... Everyone is pretty supportive of what everyone else does (Although it only has like 300 people)

wow... If this happend to me I think I would go cry in a corner for the rest of the year or just punch everyone in the face a million times. (I'm so sorry)

That is why i dont bring cubes to school, and never have. I'd either get thru the days listening to music. But i still feel you, man.

I'm so glad that I'm homeschooled, I don't have to deal with stuff like this. :(
I hope that kid gets suspended or gets grounded big time.

inb4 "homeschoolers don't learn how to socialize"

Homeschooling is awesome, assuming it's done properly (I know a family who "homeschools," but they actually just play minecraft all day. They don't even count as unschoolers).

And you learn how to socialize just as well, if not better, than most public school students.

For the record, I've been homeschooled since kindergarten. I'm a senior this year, preparing for college in the fall. At this point, I pretty much unschool myself, but up until ~10th grade it was a much more formal thing (more being the keyword) that my mom led. But this year and last I've done most of the stuff on my own; my mom pretty much just handles the legal, etc. side of things and gets me books, materials, etc.

And because people usually ask: I did very well on the standardized tests, like the ACT (36/36), SAT (2140/2400), and SAT subject tests (Spanish 600, Biology 700, Math II 780).
