Race to 10 point MBLD- bldcuber314, yes cubing and BVCuber13

8/10 45:01 MBLD PB in weekly comp! This was the comment on the attempt-

32:30 memo, first 10 cube attempt. Both DNFs were on exec errors. Since I don't have enough 3x3s, I also used a 4x4 and a 5x5, and I only DNFed the 5x5 because I accidentally turned an inner slice. As this would not have happened had I used a 3x3, after the attempt I retried that scramble on a 3x3 and gave myself another attempt to solve it(without a chance to look at it again first). On that attempt, I solved the cube. However, if this goes against the rules of this competition, please inform me and I will change the result back to 7/10 45:01.

While this wouldn't count officially, I think it was the right decision to make as I gained no advantage from doing this over what would have happened had I used a 3x3.

I got my first 10 pointer today, it was great racing you @yes cubing and @BVCuber13 !

12/12 51:01 MBLD PB single! This is a huge jump from my 8/10 previous PB, and it's great to finally have a good PB in this event. This is actually my first N/N result since my first success, which was a 2/2 😂.

I structured this attempt with three packs of four, using a variation of a memory palace system which I personally prefer to the standard system. With this system, I assign each cube a different room or place(such as my bedroom, or a classroom, it's not hard to think of 12 places) and fit all of my memo from that cube(one image for edges, one for corners) into that one room without splitting the room into locations. I like this better as there are less images to remember, I end up assigning more meaning to the memo(which I find easier to remember) and the images feel less claustrophobic as they can take up the entire room instead of a small location such as a shelf.

This attempt was very smooth, and I made good time despite it still essentially being a safety as there was very little chance of me hitting the 1 hour limit.

My reviews-

Memo means memoed for the first time, and review that cube a couple of times.
Review means mentally review cubes, and check the cube if I need to.

For edge flips and corner twists, I memoed with letter pairs, but backed them up visually which I found to be the best system after previously memoing only visually.

Congrats on the huge PB and for winning the race! As for me, I haven’t done a MBLD attempt since my last comp a month ago, but hopefully I’ll reach this milestone soon
