I was wondering if anyone had any questions about OH? I am still working on my site devoted completely to OH so if there are any general questions I can add their answers to my website.
I have all the basic things. How I hold the cube and what fingers I use to turn what, cross on left, etc.

How hard is it compared to speedsolving a cube with BOTH hands?

Is there a huge difficulty gap?

Hello Lofty. I'm not good in OH, but I haven't any question...but I have suggestion: You should put your OLL because the link takes me to a page without algorithms.

P.D.: You must correct this algorithm: L U2 R' U2 R U2 L' U2 R' U2 R

My oldest cube (25th anniversary) is superr loose and smooth, and I just found it yesterday (it was hidden away in the drawer and I never noticed that it was in the DIY box). After all, it went through a lot of stuff to get to this point:

In the beginning, I think it was already pretty okay.
-Then I decided to lube it with vegetable oil, because I couldn't convince my parents to go buy a lube.
-Well after a week or two I finally got the lube (Motomaster), and it didn't seem to make much difference though.
-I tried doing the center-stretching by using lollipop (from Halloween candies lol) to stretch out the centers.
-I got another lube (3 in 1 Professional silicon spray), and it somewhat felt a bit better...somewhat. After around August 2006 I bought a DIY cube, and the store cube was put into that DIY box, and into a drawer, which I never figured out until Feb 2008.
-Well, when I first turned it, it still feels pretty loose and smooth, but once I lubed it with my current lube, Jig-A-Loo, it was AMAZINGLY loose and frictionless, plus soft. Though of course, it locks up a bit.

So, I'm thinking of may be playing around, mixing cubies. May be that loose center can use new cubies and those nice worn out cubies can use a tighter center? Hmm

Well, now I have some questions :)

1) Which are the properties for a good OH cube?
People (cubers) said me my cube isn't good because it gets stuck, and the layers can separate quite a lot.

2) What kind of moves do the One-Handed speedcubers? And Do they do all fingertrick that we can see in a good tutorial while they are solving the cube?
This question is about the fingertrick: (L U') with pinky finger (in right hand), or movements like F or F' with the thumb.

I have some questions that will help us all out :)
1. how to make a good OH cube (type, moding, ect.)
2.How to get faster - as inhow to practice
3. How to do fast PLL (this ? might be hard to explain)
and is using youring finger equally fast as pinky?
cuzz my pinky is not as long as others...

Ok, I'll try to have this stuff on my website.
Some answers:
OH Cube: I just use a normal type (a) diy cube. With the old screws you can see about two threads of the screw protruding from the cube so it is quite loose. The springs on it are compressed from use and I like it like that. I've not done any moding or sanding or anything to the cube just good ole crc heavy duty.
hmm its hard to remember how I used to practice, now I just do averages of 100. I know I would do turns over and over and over till my hand was too tired to go on. Just like R U' over adn over R' U' over and over F R, R U' R U, etc, etc.
to do pll fast you will probably have to learn new algs for some of the cases. I searched around for mine but you can check at least three sites I know of now. Mine, Sebastian Felix's and Tomy's. Practice all the algs over and over and plan out how you will do the finger tricks. LIke know if you are going to have a U R' combo in there or where to do a double trigger etc.
And go to the video section if you aren't convinced the ring finger can be fast.
As for using all the fingertricks, yes. I don't do F with thumb always, sometimes I do cube rotate but it depends on the case, I do use it sometimes. Oh, I don't do the mirror of L U' with my pinky... that seems awkward..

I'd saw loosen the cube a little more than your normal two hand cube and lube it. Sometimes if the OH cube is too loose, some layers move by themselves and don't align, it can get annoying, haha.

I have some questions.

For left hand, How do you do R' U? Should I use Index and change grip, or Ring then index? Either way, my fingers can't seem to reach far enough. My hand isn't even small. ( I wear large size latex glove).
Any combinations involving F and R clock and counter wise are also difficult.

Also, should I use pinky or ring finger for R and R'?

Is it good to switch from right to left hand? They feel about the same (different fingertricks, similar times), except right hand is slightly stronger because I'm right handed.

How loose should the cube be?

I would do R' U with pinky for R' then index for U. I would definitely recommend using either pinky or ring for R' and then index for U.
And I think pretty much anything involving F is not fun.
If you are asking which finger it is up to you but if you are asking simply if you should use one of those fingers for BOTH of those turns the answer is yes.
Which hand you use is up to you...
My cube is so loose I pop on 50% of two hand solves but that is also up to you. Some people use the same cube for both. Well I do too i just have to take care not to pop..

thanks lofty. For R turns, I use pinky for R and Ring for R'. I have lots of trouble with R'. It either gets stuck, or I can't reach far enough. I would use pinky for both, but it is really tiring to turn R' when the cube misaligns. I watched Tomy's videos, but When I do F, B always misalign. So R becomes impossible to do right afterwards. So T perm became one of my worst perms. For Y, I use R2U'R2U'R2dRUR'B2RU'R'.
Are you left handed or right handed ( OH and writing)?
I'm right handed, but OH with either hand. Still undecided. I've been using right hand before, but now I think left hand is advantageous to use because it allows easier viewing and would not tire out my right hand for 2H.
My OH cube is also very loose.
Thanks for the response.
