PUZL.co.uk "Competition Standard Cube"?

I only ordered it because it seemed quite cheap, including the fact that its only domestic shipping.

£12?? That's not cheap. You can get an F2 on Ebay for £7, or an Alpha V for £8. I just got a Lubix set up Guhong for less than £12 today (one week delivery).

EDIT: oh wait, and you paid for postage on top of that.. dude, you need to shop around a lot more, and check out threads in here to see which cubes people recommend.

They are really nice cubes for a while until they get old. It was also my first speedcube and I used it for 6 months to get from 2 mins to 35 secs so it works nicely. But after a while they tend to start popping a lot and eventually get rather slow despite lubing attempts.

The Puzl.co.uk speedcube was my first cube. I gave it away a few weeks ago to a friend I taught to speedsolve (I wonder if he's still solving...), but I always thought it was a great early cube. Stable, smooth, and capable of fair times. It's not world class, however, and you'll find yourself trading up before long. I do have fond memories of this cube though.

Having said that, they may have changed the model since I ordered. Who knows?

I went from Rubik to this. Seemed great in comparison but now I have used good cubes these seem terrible. Very locky and poppy.
