Are people still using psuedoslotting nowadays?

I remember there was a boom with the technique but I don't know if it's being used that much anymore

Doing f2l with a corner and an edge that don't match with each other, and then doing a D move to offset the bottom layer to insert the pair. When you undo the move, the edge and the corner of the pair are separated into the right place. It's most useful when you have a corner of one pair already inserted, and an edge of another inserted, so that you can then pseudoslot the corresponding edge for the pair with the solved corner and vice versa. This lets you solve the case with only one f2l pair, instead of two

Yeah it's still pretty commonly used, even more so than before, people just don't really talk about it much anymore since it's a mostly normal part of solving at the top level, and even slower solvers than that use it pretty often

I think he made his SpeedcubeShop discount code 'pseudogod'.
He did lol. He's sponsored by TheCubicle, not SpeedCubeShop though. (And yes, I tested out his discount code with a yoo cube lol)

Pseudoslotting isn't super helpful in general, especially at top level where flow is super important (pseudoslotting tends to clunky if you are hard wired to solve one pair at a time). It's mostly a situational technique that is done if seen during inspection. For the majority of solves, it is more practical to focus on optimizing pair solutions, pair order, lookahead/prediction, etc.
