I'm just wondering what the best lubricants are, and what you use. I bought a liquid silicone lubricant recently and decided to try it on my store-bought cube before I try it on my DIY (getting my first one soon). The results were horrible, it's way worse than before. The cube is practically ruined, or at least will be without a lot of treatment. So I want to know the best type of lube to use for my DIY.

Oh, sorry. I did search for it, quickly. Only seeing like 1 out of the top 10 results even being related at all. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Although that page you gave me a link to is informational it lacks personal opinion. I was thinking about getting CRC Silicone, because a friend of mine suggested it. Do you think that would be the right choice for a DIY cube?

Alright, just one, or two final questions then.

Do you have to wait for the CRC To dry or something after applying it?

Also, somewhat unrelated.. Do you have any suggestions for which type of DIY? As I haven't ordered it from C4U but I plan on ordering it within the next day or so. So far I've only heard info from type A and type D, the single person I talked to suggested D, and he has both an A and a D.

CRC dries in an hour or less, works good.

Type A is good, but it requires finesse and precise adjustment. For beginners I'd recommend C or D.

Beginners as in what? In terms of DIY cubes? I'm not exactly a beginner with the rubik cube, no where near an expert either. But I can solve it in about 40 seconds.
