I've been working on Petrus for about a month now and I'm at about a 70 move average which is far from optimal. In an effort to further reduce that number, I've also been looking at some of the LL techniques on Petrus' website. I'm interested in learning his step 5+6 approach but I'm having trouble understanding it. Could someone please elaborate on his method or forward me to someone who has?

Step 5+6 is orienting and permuting the corners in one step (a.k.a. COLL). What exactly do you have trouble understanding?

I'm an idiot. I overlooked the A-G icons at the bottom of the page and didn't know they were clickable links. :) I just thought they were part of his "really advanced" 5+6+7 stuff. Must read carefully!

Lowering your move count in the F2l is also really useful in lowering your total number of moves.

Did you really have to say that?

anyway, don't even worry about LL, that will come around when you get too ****ed off that you don't know a certain case. Just work mostly on having a smooth F2L.
