PBL Problem

Hey guys, I got a problem at PBL. I'm using the ortega method, and I got couple of questions on it. Here it goes:
I got this kind of pattern:

(one is the f face, and the other is the b face)
What's the solution to this kind of pattern? I watched TheWetsonian's tutorial on the ortega method for 2x2, and (CMIIW) I guess he didn't mention this pattern, and I got quite confused with it.
