In the last hour I got a print-off of the algs for Ortega method and started learning. I have been doing slow solves because I need to double check the alg sheet halfway through a solve sometimes. I can honestly I am having the most fun doing this than I have with cubing in the last month. Do you think I should continue trying to get sub 20 3x3 and sub 1:30 4x4 or should I start 2x2 even though I am not very good at them moment? Btw, for 2x2 I average 7-8.

Thanks.

There are very few Ortega alga, so I'd recommend learning.

As for starting 2x2, go ahead!
You can always move 3x3 aside to do 2x2.

Actually, I kinda regret not immersing myself in big cubes and the 2x2.
Now I'm disproportionately slow at big cubes compared to 3x3.
I can sub-14 3x3, but I can't sub-5 2x2, or sub-1:25 4x4.
Thats why I have moved 3x3 aside now and focusing more on 4x4 which I am now sub-1:35 with a method I made up (very similar to Meyer but not quite).

Thanks. I'm taking your advice and stopping 3x3 for a while. Good luck on 4x4
