has anybody ever gotten one? I've gotten three. i might be the unofficial world record holder for most OLL PLL skips. haha. one on Gabbasoft, one if practice [9.00 seconds], and one in front of a friend [fellow cuber] who was more amazed than me [12.55 seconds].

Gotten none, but then again i haven't been cubing for very long. Were those LL skips from computer generated scrambles?

Lofty: 10? Either you use ZBF2L or solved the cube 155 520 times. Thats about 15 a day since Erno invented the cube.

I've gotten one, on a crappy warmup solve some weeks ago. 14.45 was the time. A couple days before that I saw my friend get one on his like 40th solve.

Maybe it wasn't scrambled too good.

I meant easy, as in not scrambled well, I've solved a cube in 4 seconds because I got an X3 cross and a LL skip.

Is it me or is the amount of last layer skips incredibly high compared to its low probability. It seems almost everyone has at least one. Oh well, maybe in the future for me.

I think most people solve more often than they think they do. If you've done 20,000 solves in your lifetime of cubing and you've had 2 LL skips the chances of that are

(20000 C 2)*(1/15552)^2*(15551/15552)^19998 = 22%

22% sounds reasonable to me.

Chris

22% chance of LL skip? o.O *confused* Unless you meant 22% chance of 2 LL skips out of 20k. ._.
Anyway, I've had about 5 oll/pll skips in the 3 months I've been cubing.
