That alg rocks! You probably just don't know how to execute it properly. Watch the video from cubewhiz.

hints:

hold middle three fingers on left hand on UL pieces, and thumb on DL
hold middle three fingers of right hand on BR pieces, and thumb on FR

R' -wrist it
F -right-hand pointer finger
R -wrist it
B' -left-hand ring finger, starting on the LUB sticker
R' -wrist it
F' -left-hand pointer finger pull
R -wrist
B-left-hand ring finger pull

***OR***
(same starting position)
R' -wrist it
F -right-hand pointer finger
R -wrist it
hold right hand in mirror image to left hand
B' -right-hand ring finger pull
R' -wrist it
F' -left-hand pointer finger pull
R -wrist
B-left-hand ring finger pull

now if only people did this for every alg...

"Bowtie" (OLL 25) and "Omega" (OLL 24) are related. Running the alg to solve 25 yields a setup for case 24, and vise versa.

So it's not surprising that there are solutions to 25 and 24 that are similar in their move structure. For 25 (bowtie), I like:

(l' U') (L' U) (R U') (L U) x'

This alg is *very* similar and solves OLL 24:

(l' U') (L U) (R U') (r' F)

But I actually do the above as:

(l' U') (L U) (R U') (L' U) x'

So you can see that the only differences in the algs are the direction of the two L moves. For clarity, here they are stacked up so you can see:

25: (l' U') (L' U) (R U') (L U) x'
24: (l' U') (L U) (R U') (L' U) x'

I find that very elegant. You nearly get two algs for the price of one.

Brian.
