Odd Mains Thread

I'm really enjoying my Yulong M right now. The magnets are a little weak (4x2 n35) and it might not work for a faster turning style, but it's got a fantastic weight to it. I know I said in the magnets thread that the magnets didn't help, but after using it more I'm liking it more and more. I also used to use a Rubik's brand for feet.

I used a heavily modded zhanchi up until 2016. Then I overmodded it ): still by far the best zhanchi I have ever felt. My first speedcube too (:

I mained the X-Man Tornado for a while.
I mained the YuHu until the Galaxy came along.
That few-month period when I mained the DaYan Pyraminx was especially weird.
I loved the X-Man and used it as my main for some time (I actually prefer it over the GuoGuan YueXiao and some other great cubes, and I'd probably still be using it if I didn't have a Valk M)
It's the same with me for the YuHu, I traded off my DaYan megaminx a while ago

Oh, and at my first competition I traded my AoLong V1 (my main at the time, back when it was still in production) for a white YuLong, which then became my main

I use the Guanpo 2x2, Thunderclap 3x3, Kungfu 4x4 (The person I got it from didn't know what one it is.) Bochuang 5x5, Weshi 6x6, Weji 7x7, Qiyi Skewb, SS aurora mega, Qiyi SQ1, Big sail M for Feet. I do every WCA puzzle, but those are highlights of some odd puzzles that I use.

I recently used a Dayan GuHong v2 in competition (for regular 3x3 not OH or feet). Some people would find that bizarre. But if you've ever felt my guhong you know it's an amazingly smooth cube. I use it often when I'm more nervous or jittery since it is more controllable/slower than the newer cubes.

I'm not personally familiar with the Guanpo, Kungfu, Bochuang, or SS Aurora mega, but none of those seem odd to me.

Big sail M is great. I also use a Weichuang M and an Aoshi M. The Aoshi is better. I think the Weichuang was better before I magnetized it.

Mine's not really that weird just slightly unusual: my main cube is a weilong gts v2 (self magnetised) with a metal gans 356s octocore. Incidentally, you don't actually have to do any modding to fit an octocore into a weilong; it just fits.

I did it for the lols but it turned out I quite like it as it made the cube cut better and smoother (like a gans) while being lighter than a weilong and less catchy than a gans.

The 60mm Big Sail or the 68mm? Did you magnetize it yourself?

3x3: Thunderclap v2/GAN 356S v2
OH: Mini Weilong v2 (though sometimes I do use my valk3, I prefer my weilong most of the time)
4x4: that old yuxin one just before the Blue came out
5x5: Bochuang (is this odd?)
