I just got a heap of puzzles I ordered from C4U and need to know how to solve them. And after that, I would need to know how to SPEEDSOLVE them and then after that I just practice....
I can just do the beginner method first of the puzzles then head on to the speed solve method/s

You can help by giving me tutorials on the internet and tips for solving these things.
So
The stuff I need to know.

1. How to solve a Square-1?

2.What is the most common method for speed solving a Square-1?

3.I already know how to solve a 3x3x4 with a 1:20 average (I don't know if that's fast or not :S) and what is the fastest way to solve it?

4.What is the advanced method to solve a 2x2x2 with a sub 5? (My average for this is about 10 seconds with using the intermediate method)

5.Where do I find Tutorials on the Oka Method with the pyraminx?

6. What are the 5x5x5 parity Algs?

7. Where do I find how to do the advanced method for the 4x4?

1. www.youtube.com or http://www.speedcubing.com/square1.html, or shelley's page. http://thesixsides.com/rubikscube/guides/square-1.htm can be good too

2. Vandenburgh method. http://www.cubezone.be/square1.html

3. Not sure really. Seeing as I only got mine yesterday, and I use a really bad method which I figured out myself

4. You can use most methods to get sub 5. CLL and Ortega are the most common methods - youtube them. All it takes is practice.

5. Youtube

6. Same as 4x4.

7. What do you mean by "advanced method" ?

Did I understand correctly:
You have a bunch of new puzzles and your only goal is to solve them as fast as you can?

In that case you will miss out a lot of fun.

If I was in your shoes, I would try to solve them without help first. Maybe try to get some hints. Like for intuitive F2L on 3x3 - Do 90 degree turns on F L B and R sides, try U layer, don't mess up the cross too much.

Days of fun.

I'm doing this with Square-1. I had one from a friend for 2 days, could not solve it. I refuse to search for tutorials. I'll get another possibility, maybe buy one for myself.

Yohei Oka method for pyraminx is not actually solely his.

This is a method I also use (although weirdly Yohei doesn't actually use the method that everyone thinks he does?) long before anyone started calling it the Yohei method. Yes that might sound a bit like I am blowing my own trumpet, but it annoys me that everyone thinks it's his method.

Basically, there's a tutorial on my youtube page.

No, I think Nick only did one solve LBL, one solve Ortega, and 3 CLL.

Feliks is right. The LBL solve was really fast 3.?? maybe 4.?? and the ortega was 3.25 with the first layer already done.

Sounds like a plan.

Great, I can't wait!

The stuff I need to know.

1. How to solve a Square-1?

Don't be lazy, and try to figure it out. If you give up, use Google.

2.What is the most common method for speed solving a Square-1?

This one's a good question in my opinion. Sadly I can't help you with this one though, go with the answers from others.

3.I already know how to solve a 3x3x4 with a 1:20 average (I don't know if that's fast or not :S) and what is the fastest way to solve it?

Not being lazy, and trying to figure out a more efficient method. If you give up use google or post a constructive thread providing what you have already tried.

4.What is the advanced method to solve a 2x2x2 with a sub 5? (My average for this is about 10 seconds with using the intermediate method)

I'd say a pretty advanced method is not being lazy, and trying to do research online for advanced 2x2x2 methods.

5.Where do I find Tutorials on the Oka Method with the pyraminx?

I'd say this is also a good question, but sadly I can't help with this one. Go with the answers from others.

6. What are the 5x5x5 parity Algs?

A good OLL parity alg I think is r. I'm also a big fan of l, and on occasion I can be found using f, but whatever floats your boat eh? If you want something that also preserves the centers you can always try not being lazy and doing some research on the internet for 5x5x5 parity algs. For PLL parity I think the best alg is one found by not being lazy, and doing your own research on the internet.

7. Where do I find how to do the advanced method for the 4x4?

This method is top secret, and only those cubers who have killed a wild boar with their bare hands are allowed to use it. Actually I'm lying, a pretty advanced method for 4x4x4 is easily found by not being lazy, and doing your own research on the internet.

Hope I was able to help some,
Chris

lol. Chris is rather funny. I agree with what Chris said. Ever thought of using youtube and google?

Square 1:youtube- Elimes for basic cube shape.
- David Woner for the rest.

Pryaminx: youtube- type in OKA method. (2 of the tutorials are really good. Forgot which ones)

2x2: LBL- sub six is easily possible with LBL. I am consistently low 6's with this. Feliks is consistent 5 with this.

CLL- sub 4 use rowe's and rowan's tutorial on youtube. I'm learning this method.

Ortega- youtube, sub 7??? (dont really know)

EG- lots of algs. Consistent sub 3 (maybe??? with prac.) Learn CLL first.

4x4- do your own research as Chris said. I syuhei's method for edges. 2 pair is also very commonly used. Centres are pretty intuitive. Solve like 3x3 is easy. Learn OLL and PLL parity algs. I average between 1:30 and 1:40. Not very good. Use youtube, google and the Wiki section of speedsolving.com.

3x3x4- experiment with it. I figured out a really fast way for pairing edges.

Lol I did a 3.40 avg 12 with ortega.

My point exactly. Recently watched an Ortega tutorial, and found out what I do isn't actually ortega. It has the same concept, except I make a face of opposites, then OLL alg to make other face. Split the sides into yellow/white or blue/green or pink/red, and do an Ortega alg. Is this just a variation? Or another method?

I don't get very good results on google, youtube, etc
I'm not good at that stuff

Just type, "How to solve a 7x7," for example. For Pyra, type, "How to solve a pyraminx using Oka."

BTW, lots of tutorials don't actually call it Oka, (Oka didn't make it, and he doesn't even use it). Just type, "How to solve a Pyraminx advanced, and one of the tuts will probably be Oka.

For 4x4, advanced edge pairing is easy, and very intuitive. You should be able to figure it out, and 5x5 is exactly the same for beginner edge pairing. (almost) You should work it out. It's more fun.
