New Speedstacks Timer

hello everyone i just got my speedstacks timer. it is very cool. but i havent had it for 3 hours yet and the reset button is weird. i have to push it hard to reset. but at first i just pushed it. also this is the new timer were you can save your times.

It's not THAT new, but it IS 'new'.

The reset button was easy at first, and suddenly it's sometimes hard to work with a little push. No real problem though, it doesn't get worse or anything. I've had mine for a few months, I like them.

The battery may be near-dead. I've had my battery in for about 2 months and I've used the timer everyday. I also have the problem with the reset button. So try changing your battery.

It has nothing to do with the battery.

This problem occurred soon after getting my timer.
I wouldn't even call it a problem really...
It's not difficult or challenging to make it work, just a little more effort to press than the other buttons. And it's not an all-the-time thing, either. I just tried it and it was fine.

Mine's like that too. The power button and the other buttons seem to work fine, and it's always been like that, before and after battery changes. Probably not a battery issue, and I've just learned to live with it.

I have had similar problem with the power button. In fact I couldn't get the timer to turn on at all, so I ordered a new timer. After I got the new timer, I was able to get the old one working again, but sometimes I'll have to press the power button a few times before I get it to turn on.

It says "January 2009" on the bottom of mine, I'm pretty sure if you bought yours recently it'd say that too, since I got it directly from the online store.

I still haven't figured out how to get it configured for CCT for the computer, but if anybody ever finds a way, hurray!

The reset button gets relatively easier to push the longer you have it; I've had it for roughly a month and I can reset it even during a solve with my pinky... xD

If you have recently got it, you can contact speedstacks and tell them your problem. They will ask you to change the battery. If that still does not work, they will send you a new one free of charge.
