there is going to be a rubiks cube competition on the 25 at a college near me. we (8 people) need to conseculatively solve 25 storebought rubiks cubes in the fastest time we can. i spoke to one of the judges and they said that the teams that move on shold be able to do the 25 rubiks cubes as a team in about 3 to 4:30 minutes we solve them in about 5:30. two know the beginners method, me and another kid know f2l 2 look oll and i know full pll and the other kid knows 2 look pll.
the other four know layer by layer for the first two layers and tyson mao's 4 look oll type thing and four look pll type thing.
help is appreciated.

Just practice really. It's not hard to get there if they work for it. It depends on how close you are from it though, as you only have 5 days left.

i suggest making them practice lbl first... i sub-50'd with lbl before f2l

One of the 9-year-old students from my Rubik's cube class, Cammie Lanctot, got a 61 second average at the Indiana Winter competition just 3 weeks after she finished learning how to solve it. She was still using a beginners method; she just practiced a lot.

We should field a full team from the class I had - based on the students' times at Indiana Winter (and throwing in Marie and Rebecca as ringers), we would definitely make the cut. :D

They can easily hit 1:10 with practice even with the beginner method. I know I did and I have slow fingers.

With the begginer method is easy get times sub 50 or maybe sub 40, you don't have to practise a lot.

If theres 25 cubes and 8 people, 7 of them solve 3 and the fastest will solve 4cubes. If the fastest can do 4 cubes in 3 min (Or more depending on the others), other 7 can solve 3 in ~4 min then you'll be fine.

How fast are the 3 fastest?

The problem is that you have to solve "Storebought" Rubiks Cube.

That is the pitfall. It is from the Rubik's Company forcing you to use their cubes.

The funny thing is, if you read this eligibility document, there are many loopholes.

Here goes:

Competitors must remain quiet when inside the designated competition area.
No whispering?
Competitors may sit or stand during the competition round(s)
We may. Never said we couldn't do head stand while solving cube.
4.5. No items whatsoever are allowed on the competition table including cell
phones, pagers, or any other electronic equipment.
4.6. Use of notes or any form of reference material is not permitted.
Where do we keep the notes? On the ground? Have 8 people hold it? Music stands?
The competition requires the use of 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube.
5.8. Cubes must have only one logo and the logo must be on one of the centerpieces.
The cube must show one clearly distinct color per face in the solved
state.
Does it have to be storebought?
6.1. A Scrambler must apply the scramble sequences.
6.2. The number of moves to scramble a cube (a scramble sequence) from the
solved state to scrambled state must be at least 25 moves. A move is one 90°
turn.
Could we get this scrambler?

Interesting huh? ... Also, at the end, I think the took the pictures from the WCA regulations page but it doesn't even cite them.
