Hi guys,

Im cubing now since december 2015, so almost a year. In the beginning i bought myself an original rubik's cube, but after a short time i bought myself a Dayan Zanchi and found out the fridrich method. i got a new PB one after another... after a while, i found out that there was a new cube on the market, the: MoYu Weilong GTS. So i bought myself one, what a nice cube. i love it! But now the last 2 months i get stuck...

My personal best is 24.35, and once in a while i get one close one... but i can't break it!

I'm stuck at an average of 30 a 35 seconds, and don't see any aprovement in my cubning anymore.

I practice a lot, at least 1 hour each day! and what a lot of youtube movies and on this forum.

I get cross in 4 seconds, when i finished my F2L i see 20 to 24 seconds on the timer, and final solve around 30 a 35 seconds.

My goal is to become a sub 20 cuber... and practising a lot on looking forward now.

Do you guys have any tips for me to improve myself ?

Thanks alot!

Greetings from the Netherlands
Michael

Do you still use 4LLL? Because you really should be faster on LL and do it in <7 seconds for sub-20.

However, I would say the biggest problem is your Cross+F2L. A few questions you should ask youself:
1) Do you plan out your entire cross in inspection and are you able to then put on a blindfold and solve it?
2) Do you pause and look for pairs a lot during you F2L. Ideally there should be a continuous tps with no pauses.
3) Do you have to think about how you solve each pair? If you do it might be worth either learning F2L algs or drilling them over and over again so it becomes second nature.
4) Do you rotate a lot (>3 times) during F2L? If so try to jeep rotations to a minimum or at least be able to "know" what the pieces in the back slots are.
5) Are you slot neutral? That is, can you solve an F2L pair from any given angle into any given slot or are you restricted to FR?

Other things you could consider is if you should be more CN, if you AUF a lot to recognise OLL and PLL or similar.

Finally, if none of this seems to work you could always try switching method to something like Roux or ZZ if you find your tps is the thing holding you back.
