To my USA peeps, especially those with smartphone plans. Which carrier do you use? How much data does your plan have? and how much is your data plan per month?

I really want a smart phone, but most companies websites seem to be designed to rip you off. So I'm getting some feedback from folks about their smartphone plans and how they like them. I'd love to be able to spend less than $100 per month and have a bunch if not unlimited web usage on my phone.

Thanks a lot,
Max

I just got a Samsung Infuse 4G on ATT and it's AWESOME. No complaints at all; the plan I have is unlimited talk/text and 2GB of data (which is really all you need, I find 4GB data to be very unnecessary). I pay around $70/month I believe.

I have Sprint and get 750 minutes + unlimited text/data for around $70/month.

If you don't care too much about roaming, you may want to try Virgin Mobile or Boost. They have some pretty nice Android phones now.

You can get the unlimited plan at StraightTalk at Walmart for $45/month, no contract. You can hookup most phones to it, including the latest Android. I've been using StraightTalk for a year with no problems. It is a sub-company of Verizon.

I have a phone through Virgin Mobile and it seems to do the job just fine for me. $35/mo for unlimited text and data and then like ~300 calling minutes (I don't really call people that often anyway).

The only downside is that they don't get the latest and greatest phones, but they do have some Android phones - I have the LG Optimus V. They use the Sprint network as well, which has functioned flawlessly in my area, but of course differs depending on where you are. There are a lot of options for phone companies, so I would say first decide if price or performance (which becomes a factor if you are going to be playing a lot of games and such) is more important to you and then go from there.
