I started to learn Heise method two days ago
and now I'm confused at corner 3 cycle

this technique permute 3 corners on the same side or what??
the sequence X.Y.1/X.1/Y and I don't get it at Y, 1/Y
can someone explain it to me?
sorry for the bad english

Hm... do you know any other methods? The 3 corner cycle that Heise teaches is a commutator, which is X Y X-1 Y-1

So, if X is R U R', and Y is D then the commutator is

R U R' D R U' R' D'

Get it?

thanks for the reply
yes, I know
Ortega, simple Fridrich
1/X and 1/Y just the opposite, so it's quite easy

since this method is intuitive, I know corner A must be permute to corner B, but I just don't know what move X and Y will be

and.. one more thing, if we want to use commutator, the position of 2 corners must on the same side, and the other must be on different side??

Yeah, that is correct. One (A) needs to be one face turn away from the other (B), and the last one needs to be on the opposite slice (C). I invented this lettering system to make things easier.

Here's a quick description:

X - Puts C into A in the correct position
Y - Move B to position A
X-1 Y-1- Reverse moves

But in all truthfulness, stick with Fridrich. It's what 90+% of speedcubers do.

thanks

at first I use simple OLL/PLL and I got about 50s
and then, I used ortega and my average 35s

I just don't like LBL

maybe heise will fit me

hi i am having a bit of trouble understanding this also. i only know the beginner method with algorithms, and have learned all the steps of the heise method leading up to solving the corners.
ive been looking over the heise solution page again and again but i still cant get it. i think i might be slow or something lol
any advice?

Lol nice necro. Heise isn't a great method for a beginner, lol I can't commutate corners either tho.

whats a necro? if heise isnt good for a beginner, what would you reccomend as a better method to learn? i can solve the cube in about a minute with the layer by layer method, thought id try heise as the next step. I am willing to put that on hold and try something else if you have any ideas. thanks
