I have some goals for the end of the year that I wanna try and hit because why not.

2x2 - sub-4
3x3 - sub-15
4x4 - sub-40
5x5 - sub-1
6x6 - sub-2
7x7 - sub-3
OH - sub-30
Mega - sub-1:30
Squan - sub-45
The easiest have to be sub-45 squan and sub-1:30 mega.

I'd advise not to set too much to store by these goals, as some of them seem way too optimistic. They may just kill your motivation for cubing (specifically big cubes, as those are the goals that stand out as unrealistic to me), because you'll be disappointed if you don't get close to these times.
Also, it'll be hard to get fast at big cubes if you're not that fast at 3x3. If you're solving a 3x3 in 15 seconds on average, you'll have to hit 3x3 stage sub 45 to get a sub 1 on 5x5, which lets just say isn't easy. So I definitely advise working on 3x3 as well if you want to get good at big cubes.
also i'll critique your 5x5 solves soon I definitely did not forget until now

True, but for 5 6 7 I use Yau(x) and 3x3 stage typically takes like 7-10 seconds, so I'm not too worried about it. However I also think that I know what inefficiencies I need to fix in big cubes. It's mainly F2C and just lookahead in general.

All good man, take your time.

In that case I highly advise you to work on your cross(+1) for 3x3, and probably also the transitioning from that to the rest of the solve, because I don't think that needs to take over 5-8* seconds if the rest takes below 7-10.**

* 15-7=8, 15-10=5, so considering sub 15 is your goal, you must take longer than 5-8 seconds.
** below, since you can most likely turn faster on your 3x3 than on big cubes.

Hey Nebraskan, I see that you’re learning squan. Cube master’s tutorial and Andy klise’s pdf and great resources. Cube master’s parity explanation is the best.
The PDF in question is attached

First solve!!

I just might be sub-15 on 3x3, without full OLL.
