Hi everyone!
I have recently started cubing about 4 or 5 months ago, and have recently timed myself. They may not be the 7-9 sec. times, but I did just start and needed cubers' opinions. (P.S. I currently use the 4-Look Last Layer method.)

On my 3x3:
Average: 58.60
Avg. of 5 : 58.89
Avg. of 10: 58.91
Best 47.67
3 of 5: 59.21
10 of 12: 58.84

Are these okay times, considering that I only started 5 months ago?

Please give input.
Thanks,
Steven

(P.S.S.:I do have more puzzles including the Magic, Domino, Pocket, Pyraminx, and the Gear Cube. However I have not timed any of these.)

what method do you use? layer by layer?

id recommend learning a more advanced method now that you are sub1minute

The most popular is CFOP, although if you don't want to learn almost any algorithms , there is Roux. There is also petrus, and then ZB (that has a crap load of algs though, i wouldnt recommend learning it unless your super 1337 and you want to learn it

its good times considering how long you've been cubing, though its time to switch ;p

Everyone has their own progression rate, so I can't really say yes or no like there's a "how good am I" scale I can look at. Your times look just about like mine 5-6 months ago, so I'd say in my opinion you are doing pretty good.

I do beginner f2l and then OLL and PLL. And thanks! I'll probably look for Roux first.
