Thanks everyone for the help, I really appreciate you all taking the time to respond and help me out.

Just sit down and learn all the algorithms one weekend. It sucks but it's way better.

If you think this is the best option, then I'm obviously going to deeply consider it. You make a really good point, with the "don't use it if you aren't going to be using it later", and to be honest that's probably what I'm going to do. Some weekend soon I am probably going to sit down and learn at least PLL, and start OLL if I have time.
