Megaminx Scrambles

Okay i always wondered before with the new scrambles stuff like the U or U++ In the scrambles etc. but now i know its just U layer. but on cubemania you get things like Y++ and Y-- and i wonder what to do because. If Y is just U then if you get D++ and something like Y++ its just like a D4 etc and also if you do Y++ as cube rotation then at the end of scrambles if there is Y++ etc then thats pointless to have cube rotation at the end of the scramble.

so im confused about this. (may be dumb question i know but oh well im dumb what can i say)

The Y's were from Stefan's first proposed alternate method for scrambling megaminx. It looks like he still has that method detailed here.

I was afraid that would be mentioned. I meant the other (but related) type of lazy programming where a programmer doesn't write some extra code because the result of the program is already technically correct and considered "good enough"

Thanks . Actually i didn't thought about the scrambles itself, since i never scrambled a megaminx. Maybe i'll fix it if i'm motivated enough .
