How do many of us manage to squeeze cubing into our schedule?

I ask because I haven't had time to cube since school started, and I don't want to quit altogether. I know there are busier people on this forum that have amazing times, and they are able to squeeze cubing in their lives. How do you do it, without quitting or reducing the amount of practice?

How do you manage cubing into your daily lives?

It's tough. I wish I was more serious about cubing when I was still in college when I had a great deal more free time. It just seems that I will likely never have a great deal of time to devote to cubing, but I am happy making incremental improvements and just enjoying going to tournaments.

This has come up a lot for me recently. I place a stratospherically high emphasis on my free time, and my school has other plans. I'm basically cubing during any moment I have free.

I get a lot of homework everyday, but I still usually manage to cube more than enough. I just make sure I do as much as I can at school, so when I get home, I can do whatever I want. I have an hour bus ride to and from school everyday, as well as over an hour of "morning rounds" where students can do what they want. Although morning rounds are intended to be time for students to be working, obviously not all do. My lunch period is also about an hour.

That alone gives me about four hours where I could be sleeping, talking, cubing, playing sports, etc. Although I do those things quite a lot during the school day, I make sure I put in at least two hours of schoolwork during that time.

There we go, I already have two extra hours to cube at home. ;) :)

Personally, being home-schooled i have ALOT of time on my hands. I imagine i wont have time to do anything next year though (im going to a college prep because of my athletic abilities, and luck)

I wish I had got into cubing while I was still at school but unfortunately that didn't happen and I've only really known it during a "busy" phase of my life - university. I guess if you like something enough you make time for it by prioritising it over other social activities. Just decide you want do to x minutes of practise a day and squeeze it in. Having said that, when I started trying to impose practise upon myself, is where I decided that I didn't enjoy cubing so much :P I am quite content only practising a little when I can, and as I don't practise much anyway I don't mind. Cubing is about 90% about going to competitions for me and 10% getting good times.
