Managing sub-30 solves ?

Hello ! Sorry to disturb you with a quite personal case but I have the frustrating feeling not to improve my time anymore since last month whereas I am training quite a lot everyday... (I must do something wrong).

I just finished learning all OLL and my time is generally:
3-4 seconds for the cross
20 seconds for the F2L without the cross
7 seconds for the OLL
5 seconds for the PLL

Total: about 35 seconds... when I manage the F2L nicely without too much hesitation or when I have an easy OLL, I can go down to 30 seconds, but almost never under 30 seconds...

What do you think I should improve first ? Is there some recently sub-30 cubers who remembered what they did to break this limit ?

improve ur f2l. are u sure you have absolutely no delays in between each c/e pairing? my friend who use wrist with absolute no finger tricks does f2l without cross in average of 9seconds

fastest improvements come from F2L improvements... it seems to me like OLL and PLL just come in time... but maybe im wrong. Anyway, i didn't ever explicitly practice those two, and they just kinda go down by themselves. But you can push down your F2L times. Also, your OLL is terrible, it should be faster than PLL most of the time.
one thing that helped me push down my F2L times was to go slowly, and think a lot at each stage of the move. Pretend the time has slowed down and you have all the time you need to make decisions. Attempt to track pieces you want to do next, and try to minimize the number of re-grips. If for example you lost track of a piece while placing a slot, take your time to decide what would be the best decision to do next etc...

Today i hit 30.something (I have it on an excel sheet but i think it's around 30.64)

I think I need to work on my F2L aswel, thought when ever I look up at the timer when I finish F2L it seems to be 22-25, I aim to finish OLL and recognise my PLL by 30 seconds, I usually end up with 35 seconds that way.

I think I need to work on my F2L also, I only know 19 OLL algs so it still takes me time. The 30 second solve wasn't lucky, I just got the F2L very smoothly and spotted the OLL and PLL straight away.

Well seeing as you know all OLL i would say learn PLL but at the same time take it slow on the F2L and look for quicker ways to do different scenarios.

Ideally it all needs to be executed quickly, but if i break down my average solves compared to my quickest solves it would look something like this:

Average solves (30s give or take a few)
3s Cross
17s F2L (without cross)
5s OLL (2 look)
5s PLL

My better solves (20,21,22,23 s etc..)
2 or 3s Cross
12s F2L
4s OLL
3s PLL

I usually find I am able to make up the most ground with F2L.

Turn slower than you think you should. Only during F2L, during LL just go for it.

Turn so slowly enough that you're thinking the whole time, "Why am I not turning it fast? This is so dumb, that guy on the internet is an idiot." Watch the pieces go by and try to know your next F2L pair when you're finishing another. That is the key.

i think i'm pretty much in the same situations as you are, and the biggest fault i see with myself is my f2l, which takes me around 20 seconds like you. The biggest improvement i can probably get is from the f2l, because i can probably only cut out 2-3 seconds from my LL times, but like 5-6 seconds or more for f2l.

right now i'm working on my learning all those OLLs and hopefully the f2l improvement will come with practice.

my friend's pb is 11seconds with a sune at last layer and pll skip. he does not know oll and pll, and only uses wrist. his average is 19. maybe i can try to get a video of him.. without oll and pll, i believe his cross + f2l averages at 12-13..

My F2L was 20-25 seconds (no cross) not long ago. After doing just F2L solves over and over I am now at 12-15. Right now it feels like I will never get any faster but I felt that way when i was in the 20-25 zone too. You will get there you just need to work at it.

Just did 21s.

3s Cross
12s F2L
3s OLL
3s PLL (T Perm)

I would have to agree with my self :P and say taht personally i gain the most from a quick F2L, i can gain anywhere up to 10 seconds on a really average solve. But doing a 2 look LL probably saves me 6 or 7 seconds too.

To All:
Thank you very much, it is really nice from you to have answered to me and it is highly appreciable for me to know what are my weak points.
I will try to improve my F2L the way you mentionned...

To Todd and jeff081692:
Thanks for information about your time I can see better what I should target (and also that I am not the only one having the feeling that I cannot improve anymore)

To Gavnasty:
Good luck for the OLL :)
