Hey guys!
I am really proud of this video I made so if some of you could check it out and give me some feedback on the editing and stuff like that, it would help me out a ton for making future videos :)
Thank you!!

OK, several comments:

1) Not a fan of the POV cam at the start because of the shakiness; it's also not really relevant to the rest of the video

2) The music is way too loud in comparison to your voice. I don't think you need music at all but if you're going to use it, it should be much, much quieter.

3) The stuff filmed at your desk is really grainy in comparison to the outdoor stuff at your mailbox. That is likely resulting from your camera jacking its ISO way up to compensate for a lack of light.

4) Maybe think through what you're going to say a little more thoroughly or re-record spots to try and eliminate "um" and areas where you misspeak. Not really a big issue but I thought I'd mention it.

5) I would have liked to see close-ups of some of the steps.

Overall a good video. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks so much! This was super helpful for me. The stuff filmed at my desk is from a camera that is probably pretty low quality, and the outdoor stuff is filmed with my phone which has a very good camera. I have been looking into a newer and better camera like the canon rebel. Do you think that would help improve the video quality? The other things are definitely little things that can be easier for me to work on, so thanks for bringing that to my attention :) I think it will really help me get better quality videos out in the future!

Yes, a Canon would almost certainly improve the video quality. Keep in mind that still cameras, like the Canon Rebel line, have a time limit of about 30 minutes when recording video. Often it's less and depends on the size of the file that's getting created. For a short video, not a big deal. For one where you want to capture more footage than that, it's a big deal. I'm seeing comments that mirrorless cameras don't have this same limitations as standard DSLRs in this regard. You'll want to do a lot of research. I have a Canon T4i myself but have never used it for video footage. My wife uses her iPad for her Youtube channel and the quality comes out OK.
