Making My Cube Smoother/Faster?

If you plan on relubing your cube with anything, I would really suggest to take it entirely apart and wipe down everything with a papertowel or cloth (as long as it doesn't leave fuzzies)

Reapply the lube that you decide on using, if its non aerosol I would follow the Lubix Tutorial at :http://youtu.be/UXQ-VGhsUKw
This is slightly outdated as we have improved the lubing method.
When lubing the core, pull apart the center caps to expose the screw and apply a fat bb size of lube, while still holding it apart, spin the core with your fingers to work the lube around the screw, slowly allow the center to come back together then move on to the opposite side, repeat till all 6 are done. Plus you will have a green dispensing tip (If you buy Lubix that is)
Ah thank you. I will try this.

Following that video can reaaally help for most cubes. It may feel gummy and slightly slow in the beginning. This is normal but will get much faster and smoother after maybe 5-20 solves (depending apon how much lube and which cube).

The gumminess is avoided massively by not using a lot of lube, and to be over-zealous with spinning the core before you assemble the cube again.

Im just going to reiterate what everyone said...

use lubix or shock oil, or jigaloo or crc.

dont use vasaline. ;) thats a quite common mistake... but its very deadly

Jigaloo and CRC will also degrade the cube.

If you decide to go that route, make sure to immediately play with the cube for a while after application then a few days later clean outh the entire cube and relube with something that will not degrade the plastic.
CRC and Jigaloo are basically for a quicker break in and that is all.
