26.5 ao12 for 5×5 FMC… with a computer solver.

not really, you just have to understand that 'teleporting' a letter makes it flip upside down and then you can solve the upper layers easily, then for the last layer you need to understand that you can do a 3-cycle by moving a layer that is right next to a tip.

Loopover is super interesting!
I tried the 3x3 FMC. (Linear solutions/no undo)
9, 7, 11, 6, 7, 8, 7, 7, 9, 6, 7, 6 = 7.30 Ao12.
I also have a 5.33 mo3 (4, 5, 7) and 6.33 ao5 (9, 4, 5, 7, 7).
I want someone to beat my PB ao12!
I just beat this with a much more consistent session:

6, 7, 7, 6, 8, 6, 8, 6, 8, 7, 7, 7 = 6.90 Ao12 3x3 FMC Loopover.

I have some feeling God's Number is 8 moves, and I'd guess the average optimal length is probably 6.8 or so. I didn't have any lucky (5 moves or less) solves, so to beat my PB Ao12 you would need to get a couple 5's or 4's and not get above 8. Again, I do linear solutions. Unrelated, but I got a 3 move single as well. Loopover is a pretty fun puzzle! Hopefully someone does an analysis of this. And beats my PB!

Just tried it for the first time! Super fun and I got a pretty good time too! Can someone post a walkthrough or tutorial so I can find a better method? I figured this out on my ownView attachment 23722
I just got a PB 2:06.588 ... Most of my tries are about 3mins
I got better at it when I did like Filipe said and started to think of it as Rubikesque and swapping pieces around... but not CUBE ha
