I would be much more inclined to if any of the wiki admins responded to my feedback on how to make editing nicer, but it seems like wiki maintenance is all but abandoned

I'm fairly certain the SS wiki uses MediaWiki, so there's likely quite limited options for customization when it comes to something that specific

Everything I've suggested before is doable by mediawikis and has been implemented by Wikipedia and other community Wikis. Most important I can remember off the top of my head are a visual editor and some kind of page approval process to prevent tons of useless pages and algs added. Like when I got angry @ArbishAli decided to change all the OLL images to uglier ones for no reason.
