The final frontier.
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its 5-year mission…

The USS Enterprise has just completed its exploration of the diamond deposits of exoplanet 55 Cancri e and is en route to its next destination, exoplanet Kepler-1649c, located approximately 300 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. This planet is thought to have an environment similar to Earth's.

By the way, when news reached Earth that the Enterprise was returning with a large quantity of diamonds, the value of diamonds apparently fell to the same level as the price of coal! As you may know, diamonds and coal are made of almost the same element (carbon), with the main difference being that they have different crystalline structures.

At that moment, Ms. Uhura reported, "Captain, we've received a message from Gowron, who wishes to speak with us." Captain Kirk looked at Spock and said, "He is probably going to brag about how Klock2 hasn't been invented yet on Earth, thanks to their sneaky visit there. Ms. Uhura, please connect the line." He grinned.

Gowron said, "Captain Kirk, it's been a while. Actually, I just went to Earth for a bit..." Captain Kirk laughed and whimpered to the others, "See, I told you so!"

Gowron said, "I just heard some laughter coming from your deck... Ah, I see. You're probably thinking that I'll be bragging about Klock2 today, as you've already found out about our actions on Earth. But you're wrong."

The atmosphere on the deck changed for an instant.

Gowron continued, "Today, I contacted you because I wanted to introduce to you OUR new invention, Klock3. I'm going to transport the puzzle to you now, so take a look. You'll see for yourself that our wisdom and technology are one or even two steps ahead of yours, Earthlings."
Then the call ended.

Captain Kirk and Spock went to the transportation room, where the puzzle had been beamed over. It was as follows:

One add-on has been added to the previous version, Klock2.

1. A new button called "Double speed button" has been added to the right side of the panel. When you press this button, the hour hands of the 5 of the 9 clocks circled in dark blue will rotate twice as fast. In other words, if you move normal clocks by one hour, the clocks circled in dark blue will move by two hours.

In addition to the previous "time span discrepancy" between the clocks, this new "time speed discrepancy" will certainly make it much more difficult to calculate how to synchronize the hour hands in our head than with the regular Rubik's Clock.

However, since there are people who can complete the Clock in the blink of an eye, it may be premature to say that Klock3 is a difficult puzzle...

Spock immediately began searching for a solution to this puzzle.

The USS Enterprise transmitted the results of its exploration of the exoplanet Kepler-1649c back to Earth. As scientists had imagined, the planet possessed an environment suitable for Earth-like life. They concluded that in the future, flora and fauna would emerge and become a second Earth.

Mr. Soock entered the deck with a smile and reported to Captain Kirk, "I've found a solution to the Klock3 puzzle. It was quite a complicated problem, but by combining various theorems, I've managed to find a reasonable way to synchronize the clocks." Captain Kirk responded, "Good job, Spock! We're passing by the Klingon homeworld of Qo'noS, so maybe we can scare them this time." He and Spock began planning a strategy.

Later, they decided to send Worf, a Klingon crew member from the Enterprise, to Qo'noS. His mission was to go to the Klock3 competition venue and inform the competitors of the solution. He secretly sneaked into the venue, shared his solution with various contestants, and returned to the Enterprise. On the deck of the Enterprise, Worf reported to Captain Kirk that the mission had gone well.

Captain Kirk said, "Worf, thank you for cooperating with our operation. I look forward to hearing from Gowron about Spock's solution." He then gave the order, "Now, let's move on to our next investigation point. Sulu, cruise at warp1 toward the Horsehead Nebula in the constellation of Orion." And the Enterprise vanished from the scene…
