I’m very sorry to inform you of this but @Jorian Meeuse owns the rights to the image you are using as your profile picture. As the very official SpeedSolving judge, I’m going to have to ask you change it to something less confusing, for the good of the community.

Happy cubing!
Nah his hex code is #51cc33 and mine is #33cc33 so we should be good right?

This is a joke, right? This is the default profile picture I was assigned when I signed up.

I must remind you that as the very official speedsolving judge, I rely on precedent of the other wise (but certainly not wiser than I) judge before me. I would direct you to this legal present (ignore that it is a news article and not a legal document): https://www.theverge.com/2014/2/8/5...ry-injunction-against-at-ts-aio-wireless-over

It’s only a joke if you want it to be

Actually, since our profile pictures have a different hex code, they are not similar. One is 33cc33 and the other is 51cc33. They have rgb values of rgb(81 ,204, 51) and rgb(51,204,51), which include a difference of 30 on the red value. This is a very noticeable and significant difference between profile pictures, which is why I will not change my profile picture as it is very different from @Jorian Meeuse

I would remind you of the T-Mobile v. AT&T, in which T-Mobile sued (and won) AT&T for using magenta in their marketing; a color deemed “too similar” to T-Mobile’s trademarked color of “Pantone 676C.” Even though they were far from the exact same color, because they were competing entities, it was determined by the courts that the use of the color still infringed on trademark.

In this case, while the logos are marginally different in color shade, as competing entities on the SpeedSolving forum, it is obvious that the defendant could easily be confused to be the accuser, @Jorian Meeuse, who has a longstanding trademark on his profile image, often labeled “default_img_j-33cc33.png” (source: I got them confused many times while writing this).

Of course, if @Jorian Meeuse chooses not to press charges for trademark infringement, it is his prerogative to do so, and the case would then be dismissed.

I am innocent. I was not the one that chose this profile picture. It was speedsolving.com that assigned me with it. Therefore, sue speedsolving for their infringement of @Jorian Meeuse 's profile picture trademark/copyright. They illegally used their profile for mine, which must get legal attention.

@Jorian Meeuse do you have a rebuttal?

Reporting for duty.

I can confirm that @Jorian Meeuse is completely innocent. His profile picture is legal owned and @Justincubes is making false claims about Jorian Meeuse's branding. Unfortuantly I think it is right for @Jorian Meeuse to sue @Justincubes.
I am again insisting that I am not the one that chose this profile picture, and it was speedsolving.com that assigned me with it. Therefore, it is not my fault that my profile picture is almost identical to that of @Jorian Meeuse, but it is speedsolving.com for having a faulty profile picture generator which has no respect for copyright and repeatedly causes copyright infringement

Yes I do. All speedsolving did was assign the colour to your pfp. You made your username start with the letter J, thus creating the issue.

@Jorian Meeuse the court needs an answer. Would you like to:

- Pursue this case against @Justincubes for infringement of intellectual property
- Pursue legal action against SpeedSolving.com
- Drop all legal action

I agree. @ProStar @Cubinginatree we need a representative from speedsolving.com for them to plead their case. I will sue them for their careless infringement of copyright and trademarks of someones profile picture. @Jorian Meeuse, would you like to help me plead my case?

If you wish to pursue legal action against SpeedSolving.com, you may do so after the current lawsuit is resolved.
