i just bought a type D and i was wondering if i can use Jig a loo on it to make it faster, do you guys think it will make the plastic melt? And how much do i add?

I use jig a loo on most of my cubes. It is perfectly fine for a lubricant.

As for how much to add, just spray a little into the cube at a time, play with it, and if you feel it needs more, add more.

Also, you should post questions like this in the beginner's section ;)

It doesn't make the plastic melt as long as you wipe away all the excess, like if you see dots or puddles of it. Even if it does ""Melt" (I've only had that when lubing my megaminx, a tile went somewhat soft) just don't try to scrape plastic out, you'll be okay. If it does start to melt, I might dissassemble an wait for the jig-a-loo to dry. go to youtube.com/badmephisto and search "Lubrication expiriment" for a method.

i used crc on my type d and it is great, no plastic melt.

CRC doesn't really have that melty quality that jig a loo does. I used CRC on my type d at first, but it became gummy and kind of stiff. I washed out what i could, then jig a loo'd it, and it is now by far my best cube.
