Yeah. Sliding gives you an advantage of picking the cube up faster from the timer, and also, it’s not how you start the timer even.

These posts are both pointless and pointlessly aggressive. JDAW specifically said he’s not interested in discussing sliding:

Thus, why do you feel the need to post saying he shouldn’t learn sliding? You’re not informing him of anything he’s unaware of, except that sliding is explicitly cheating, which isn’t even true at this point in time. JDAW does and has done plenty of things which deserve criticism, but it is unacceptable to antagonize or “bully” him for no reason other than you don’t like his past actions or his sense of humor (doing this is much more wrong than sliding, I assure you!). This is not what the cubing community does.

If you think that telling someone not to cheat is pointlessly aggressive and bullying them for no reason, then you really need to get some perspective.
