Is this normal??

2weeks ago I posted a topic that my average is around 2minutes and which method should i use. Now I'm using f2l and 2look oll/pll, my cross+f2l is 35-40 seconds. So I need tips of how to look ahead. Do I stop down or Slow down while doing f2l??And my LLs are around 16-20seconds is that normal?

Yes. Slow down and look for other pairs as you're inserting one pair. And LL speed varies upon every person. Just work on your F2L and the LL will improve as you practice.

I'm gonna say no, you don't need to slow down and look ahead. Just turn as fast as you can. Practise techniques that will work your turning speed, such as fast algorithms like U perms and R U R' U' *6

I've been cubing for almost a half a year and my average is 42 seconds.

You're doing fine.

(That is not to say that my "result" is some sort of a standard as to how fast you should be progressing, I don't really practice a lot.)
