Ok, I have a question regarding my speedcubing times. This is what I avg for each cube:
3x3- 23 seconds
4x4- 1:34
5x5- 3:15

With these times now, do you think. Have enough time to get my:
3x3 avg sub 20
4x4 avg sub 1:20
5x5 avg sub 2:30

I am practicing for MIT spring, and I really want to make second round for something. I know 19/21 PLLs and only 2-look OLL

If you no life it yes. You can definately get your 3x3 sub 20. Your 4x4 would be rather hard, but if you practice a lot you should do it. The only thing is your 5x5. I would say that sub 2:30 is a steep order, but you can work it down to at least sub 2:45 if you work on it. For you I would practice a LOT and finish PLL and most of the OLL if not all. Then, learn the last two edge algs for 5x5. Get practicing and I say you could definately do sub 20, maybe sub 1:20 if you work hard, and low 2:40's if you kick in you 5x5 solving. Good luck

3x3, drill the algs you know for last layer , work on lookahead, and try making use of full inspection, sub20 is not difficult in a month, just keep pushing yourself
5x5, 2:30 is no joke, seriously. Work as hard as u can. Work on 3 parts individually, with an aim to get centers-=45, reduction=30-35, edges=70 ( these can vary, but work on all parts of solves)

Ok. So 3x3 could possibly happen, but no lifting it I might get 4x4 down, and 5x5. So il finish learning PLLs and start OLLs. Also what last alga are you talking about for 5x5

I've been cubing for about 2 and a half years. I am almost sub 15 on 3x3, but with 4x4, I've been stuck at a 1:30 avg for a year and a half. I am JUST NOW starting to get more sub 1:20 times. With 5x5, I was stuck at 3:30 for over a year. I am just now starting to average about 2:40. I'd say you have a bit more practice under your belt to reach your goals. You MAY be able to reach sub 20 on 3x3, but I have to say, I was stuck at 22 sec for a year.

Well with 3x3 i have been getting a lot of sub 20 solves lately. Also it only took me a month to get from a 2 minute avg to a 1:30 on 4x4. I think 5x5 will be the hardest for me. I could definetly achieve sub 20 on 3x3 though.

keep pushing yourself. sub20 is not at all tough or anything. practice, practice practice
and please get into full oll only after u are sub20, please

Why is that?
Keep practicing and I think you can your 3x3 and 4x4 goals, the 5x5 goal might be a little harder but I'm not going to judge your ability to improve, good luck.
Because full oll doesnt improve your times by more than 1-2 seconds(it takes quite a time to learn, and then getting used to recognition too, but its something u do and improve). These 1-2 seconds are something one can improve anytime by just learning. One feels like doing less hardwork when he can be fast without doing it, same is the case with learning OLL. If you learn OLL early, there are more chances of your average freezing early.
(All this is just my opinion, i worked hard for sub20, and learning OLL after that made sure i did not have to wait for very long in getting my 1st sub15 average, just a way of thinking , do what you feel is right)

YES i will learn full OLL after i reach sub 20. That should also bring my times down a second or two
