is there a program to solve the seven cube

Here's an idea, own up to your lie and ask her to teach you.
Results in lots of time spent with her.

edit, just read the replies and apparently this has already been suggested. Take the advice.

she'll want to talk to the OP about solving and stuff.
That's a good point, but this kind of deception would take a lot of real work to upkeep, and I get the feeling that the OP doesn't want to put in that kind of dedication just to convince a friend that he can solve the cube(s).

But yeah, it's probably better in the long run to tell the truth as soon as you can.

you are SO lucky to have a girl to be into cubing. LOLOLOL most of the time you could never really get a girl with cubing skills.

As for your problem, I think you need to just fess up, and told her you lied. Then you can learn from her how to solve all these cubes. Some great things come from this solution.

1. You get to spend time with her
2. You ACTUALLY get to know how to solve it
3. You can discuss and talk about it and such
4. You get to get into a great hobby, its a lot of fun when you get into it.
5. You can actually impress her for real, one step further to winning her :D

It's a lot different when it's just a friend, and a girl that a guy likes. Guys go to great lengths to try to impress girls... I bet he'll do just about anything, until he realizes she's just another girl and she isn't worth it anyway :p haha

I completely disagree with this. When I was in high school, it was incredibly easy to get all sorts of people to talk to you (yes, girls included). If you have a problem talking to girls on your own, it's a perfect ice breaker (No, i don't mean Hi, I'm so and so, did you know I can solve a cube? I mean more like solve it in public and it'll catch people's interest).

The last...4 or so girls I've been involved with (which goes back quite a few years, the one I have now is going on a 3 year mark) all had interest in my solving ability. My current girlfriend, just happened to see my cube sitting on my desk and was like "Can you really solve that?" I'm like "Yeah why?" No way! Let me see!. You can see how it developed from there.

When I was in high school, I went to a friend's high school football game and my cube caught so much attention there. I was eventually friends with a few girls from that school, all who saw me solving my cube while walking around and thought it was pretty cool :P

Not to mention, I totally scored a free meal at Applebee's last week because of my cube :)

Moral of the story: A cube totally can be a chick magnet in it's on weird sense :P Not to mention, the replies about hanging out w/the girl to have the OP be caught so he can spend time with her, brilliant idea :)

Well, its not like that anymore :P at least at my school.

I guess it depends on how you present yourself with a cube. You have to do it a certain way, and also you have to act not obsessed and such (like I am) otherwise you look like a complete nerd. Once again, at least at my school. Everyone definitely thinks its cool and stuff, but still, it can be almost a taboo on someones social life. Its all about how you present yourself, i suppose. The people I show are definitely impressed, including girls, but I wouldn't make a friend or anything from it I don't think. And I DEFINITELY don't think i would GET a girl from it.

Edit: No i'm not a nerd, no my social life isn't destroyed. I don't cube at school anymore, but when people tell other people my PB (saying I can solve it that fast), and talking about me behind my back, it certainly isn't helping. I think the people who are spreading it around are saying it so that it seems like i'm a complete nerd with no life.

It's definitely about how you present yourself. Showing people at your own school is somewhat risky. They'll have a much easier time seeing the obsession than if you go somewhere else. I started cubing my junior year of high school and everyone at first thought it was really cool, until they saw me with it every day. It became to be no big deal anymore rather quickly. Anybody somebody new sees it, they think it's awesome.

A good example I suppose is this job I just started. I've been this since Feb. My 2nd or 3rd week in people finally realized I had a cube sitting on my desk, one co-worker asked me to solve it then of course brought the whole office over. One of the girls asked if I was just that smart or if I spent that much time on it, etc. and I was like "if you actually knew how much time I played w/this thing, you'd probably think it's pretty lame." but she still got a kick out of it.

Like I already agreed, it's definitely all about how you present yourself / your hobby. From the get go though, it definitely catches a lot of nice reactions. The most important thing is to never give your cube more attention to the girls inquiring about it, even if you're in the middle of a solve :P Especially if you take more than 15-20 seconds!
