Is the 17x17 UWR Legit?

From the wiki history, it looks like this result was put in by "WillTechnoDuck". And I'm guessing that might actually be Will Faust, since one of WillTechnoDuck's earlier edits was to change Patrick Ponce's UWR single to be a 0.01 by Will Faust. :-) At least he then changed it back - he only left it that way for 2 minutes. Presumably just testing it to see if it worked?

He has a video solving the 13x13 in 30 minutes. If he can solve it that fast, it might be reasonable to think that his 17x17 UWR is real.

He claims not to have enough battery to record the 17x17 solve. Also, it seems that he solved it in 1:10:43 on 9th of January.

Does anyone know what his 11x11 pb is?
From the comments in the video:
My average solve times so far: 2x2x2: 10 seconds (20x WR) 3x3x3: 25 seconds (5x WR) 4x4x4: 1 minute, 20 seconds (4x WR) 5x5x5: 2 minutes, 20 seconds (3.5x WR) 6x6x6: 4 minutes (3x WR) 7x7x7: 5-6 minutes (2.5x WR) 8x8x8: 8-9 minutes (2x WR) 9x9x9: 10-12 minutes (1.6x WR) 10x10x10: 15-17 minutes (1.4x WR) 11x11x11: 18-20 minutes (1.2x WR) 13x13x13: 30-35 minutes (0.9x WR) 17x17x17: 1 hour, 20 minutes (0.6x WR)

O dont think it's reasonable be cause I don't think there are any people who are sub3 at 7x7 but not sub10 at 3x3, 17x17 requires high TPS, something that someone who averages 25 on 3x3 just should not have.
lol

is this serious

I just looked at Taku Daino's 1:49:54 solve and he made like 87 moves in two minutes during the last two centres. That's 0.725 tps.

If doing centers is like 85% of the solve, then basically that is where you need to be good at. Also the turning mechanics are absolutely different from smaller cubes (I never solved a big cube in my life, but I can clearly see it from the videos). It seems clear to me that it has very little to do with 3x3 skills. He might as well be solving the 3x3 phase with beginners method and still be able to get the UWR in a 17x17.
