Is Roux method for me?

Obviously I looked at that page.
No, not really. You just said you watched two videos and asked for the basics to be laid out (I think Gilles' page does that nicely). Good that you've now provided more details about what you've done and what you have trouble with. I suggest that next time, you do that right away.

Yeah I guess thats my bad. Are all your comments so snappy, haha? And I think the guy a couple of posts above me said it better than I could. I am seeing F2L. Im gonna look at the blockbuilding tutorial. Thanks guys youve been a big help.

Here is the first block;

"There are no strict rules, it completely depends on the situation. Sometimes you immediately see how to build a 1x2x2 block. Try to imagine what it would do to the two other pieces. It's important to know before where to expect them after the move, even if you can't anticipate how to solve them. Starting with a 1x2x2 block often is the best strategy. Sometimes with special patterns, you may want to start with two opposite edges and prepare a 1x1x3 block remotely, or prepare two corner-edge pairs and insert them together. Starting with three edges is not a good idea if you want to reduce the number of moves, unless you can position them in one or two moves. Be imaginative, it may happen that the center is the last piece to solve!"

From Gilles' site.

As for the second block, this picture (which is also on his site) sums it up quite well.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, Gilles never mentioned a C-E-C block for either of the blocks... coool. :D
